For these hamware tuners I can offer an alternative firmware:
This new firmware supports CAT control of the tuner via a simple interface and a modified firmware. Currently these transceivers are supported:
The new firmware listens to the CAT output from the transceiver. Based on the received VFO-A data, the related memory is selected automatically in the controller. Manual operation is still supported as with the stock hamware firmware. Frequency sniffing via the BNC socket in the controller is no longer supported.
Some transceivers (K3, KX2, KX3, ICOM) have the option to transmit the VFO data on each change on the physical knobs other transeivers must be triggered by i.e. a log application running on a attached PC.
These manuals are available:
I've developed a small interface board for the HAMWARe controller AT-502, AT-515 and AT-651B. This interface boards supports RS232 and CI-V communications and can be directly mounted into the controller chassis.
There are two DB9 connectors for RS-232 communication and two 3,5mm phone jacks for CI-V communications. You can find the circuit diagram in the user manual.
